Tirana Observatory- Foreign Policy and International Relations is a quarterly magazine published by the Albanian Institute for International Studies (AIIS). This publication intends to provide Tirana’s perspective on foreign policy, international relations, security issues, EU integration, democracy and economics.
Tirana Observatory is an open and welcoming platform to writers, authors and experts which comply with our values of promoting excellence in the relevant fields.
Our magazine is composed by several categories of articles.
In Depth and Perspective articles are more extensive and can vary between 3000 to 4000 words whereas articles on Current Affairs should not exceed 1500 words. Book reviews provide a short synopsis of books of relevance to the publication and must be between 750 to 1000 words. All articles must be written in English that is easy to read by both professionals and the general public. Tirana Observatory uses as its style guide the Chicago Manual of Style (Author/Date system). That means all submissions should follow this stylebook’s guidelines, particularly with reference to presentation of in-text citations and the list of references.
Along with their submission, authors are asked to include a byline which provides a brief summary of their academic and/or professional credentials along with their affiliation.
Authors are asked to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of their submitted materials. In addition, they are requested to include a pledge that the content provided is entirely their original work and includes proper references.
Articles can be submitted at info@tiranaobservatory.com. Following a response that your material has been received, the editorial team will review its content and contact you within five working days. Please note that articles on time-sensitive topics will be given priority consideration.
